Bandits on Tuesday, reportedly stormed Yadagungume, Limi villages in Ningi LGA of Bauchi State, killed three residents, wounding several others
A resident in the area who said he escaped narrowly, named those killed as; Shuaibu Salihu 17 years, Ruwa Ali Mai Inji Limi, 45 years and Sunusi Isah Burra.
He said one of the victims, Sunusi Isah Burra who was kidnapped alongside others, was killed few days after his abduction.
He said the dead victim’s corpse was discovered by women who went to the bush to fetch firewood.
He said the injured victims were taken to an undisclosed hospital for immediate treatment, adding that security operatives who visited the community, allayed their fears of further attack.
Bauchi State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer SP Ahmed Wakili, while confirming the incident, assured the residents of safely, just as he promised that the command is on top of the situation.
According to him, “We received the news of an incident of kidnapping which was reported today, May 11, 2023, at about 5.00 am. It was reported at our Yadagungume Outstation and it was transferred to Burra Divisional Headquarters.”
