Former Crystal Palace owner, Simon Jordan has told Manchester City fans not to expect so much from new signing, Erling Haaland.
The club announced during the week that the 21-year-old will be leading their attack from next season as he leaves Borussia Dortmund on deal around £63 million.
Jordan said fans should not get too carried away about Haaland, making a comparison to Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku was on fire at Inter Milan, helping Antonio Conte’s side win the Serie A last season before becoming Chelsea’s record signing. However, the Belgian has been described as a flop so far this season.
Jordan isn’t getting too carried away with how good Haaland will be at Manchester City in the Premier League.
He reminded fans that there was huge excitement when Lukaku re-signed for Chelsea, only for the Belgian to have a nightmare second spell at Stamford Bridge so far.
“I don’t know if he’ll score the same amount of goals he’s scored in the Bundesliga in the Premier League because the quality isn’t the same,” he told talkSPORT.
“He looks everything on the pitch, but Lukaku looked like everything at Inter Inter Milan before he moved to Chelsea where he has struggled this season,” he said.
